Dear Members,

USA market is the biggest market for business opportunities, that’s why they are called Biggest Importer. The economic system of the United States can be described as a capitalist mixed economy, in which corporations, other private firms, and individuals make most microeconomic decisions, and governments prefer to take a smaller role in the domestic economy, although the combined role of all levels of government is relatively large. The U.S. has a large industry, ranking third in the world,^[and is also a major exporter. The per capita income of the United States is among the highest in the world. For export of Indian Handicrafts, USA is main export destination and have 30% share of total exports of Indian Handicrafts.

The International Home & Housewares Show is the USA’s largest homegoods & housewares marketplace, showcasing thousands of new products and designs. With over 2,000 exhibitors from 30 countries, the International Home & Housewares Show is the most comprehensive in the industry. About 60,000 professional visitor / buyers from 100 countries of 6 continents : North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa

The Council is organizing members participation in International Home & Houseware Show, Chicago, USA to be held from 16^th – 18^th March,2008. For participation in International Home & Houseware Show, a standard booth of 9 / 12 & 15 sq. mtr. will be provided @Rs.28,000/- per sq. mtr.. Corner stands will be charged additional 10% apart from the normal charges. The charges includes built-up stand with Carpet, Furniture, spot light, name fascia other common facilities & listing in fair catalogue. However, the other expenses towards freight of goods, specific display aids and personal expenses like air fare and stay will be borne by the participants themselves.

Interested members may please forward their application along with a Demand Draft / Cheque of Rs.2,00,000/- in favour of EXPORT PROMOTION COUNCIL FOR HANDICRAFTS payable at New Delhi. The balance amount will be deposited after selection of participant. Please note the fair is dedicated for houseware products only Please specify the products to be displayed alongwith photographs in enclosed application form. The complete application along with requisite amount should reach to the Council's office latest by 21^st September,2007. The applicant has to arrange their visa. However the Council can assist to obtain an invitation from the show organizer. If the applicant withdraws their participation after selection, the amount deposited along with application will be forfeited.
