SCOPE OF WORK FOR COMMERCIAL PUBLICITY/PROMOTION

 

ABOUT EPCH

 

Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) established under the EXIM Policy of Govt. of India in 1986-87 is a non-profit organization.  It is an apex organization of Handicrafts Exporters for promotion of exports of Handicrafts from country and is devoted to projection of India's image abroad as a reliable supplier of high quality goods & services and adherence to international standards and specifications.

 

OBJECTIVE

 

The Council organizes promotional activities in overseas market such as Road Shows, Catalogues Shows, Buyer-Seller Meets for brand image promotion of Indian Handicraft as well as participate in International Exhibitions/Fairs abroad.  Besides, Indian Handicrafts & Gifts Fair bi-annually is being organized in India by the Council.  With the view to create awareness of these activities amongst the international buyers/importers  and consumers, Council intend to undertake the publicity campaign through advertisement and other medium of promotion. The objective of such promotion/ publicity is to acquaint and make aware about the various mediums of Indian handicrafts and gifts items. The Council invites proposal from agencies having experience in executing such promotion campaigns.  

 

The term of reference of agencies are as follows:-

  

·    To prepare a publicity plan including list of overseas magazines/trade journals/show directories/websites related to handicrafts/gifts along with cost of advertisement and its circulation.

·    To obtain specimen copy of publication/magazines along with circulation details and advertisement tariff.

·    To obtain best rates for Council.

·    To book advertisements in different media.

·    To design and make the creative of the advertisement and prepare material for advertisement – artwork/positive, negative, CDs and if required to upload on HTTP server as required by publisher/printers/magazines.

·    To obtain an invoice of magazine and printed copy of magazine for payment and necessary remittance.

·    To dispatch Artwork to publisher.

·    To collect printed copy of magazine.

·    To coordinate printing of press release in trade magazines.

 

Agencies should fulfill the following pre-qualification requirements:-

 

·    Should have accreditation with INS.

·    Experienced in overseas publicity and promotion, campaigns and having independent media and creative facilities to plan and executing campaign in abroad.

·    Should have a minimum billing of Rs. 5 crore per year for last three consecutive years.

·    Should have experience of at least five years of working on advertisement/ promotion/publicity in brand image creation OR service industry.

 

Agencies meet the above criteria with an ability to respond aggressively to the market challenge with total commitment to client’s market objectives may apply inclosing:-

 

Ø   Agency profile

Ø   Details of experience in international publicity and promotion.

Ø   Three years audited balance sheet along with Annual Reports.

Ø   A brief note on overseas publicity strategy and communication approach for creating a brand image of Indian Handicrafts.

Ø   Please write on the top of envelope – “Pre-Qualification for Commercial Publicity/ Promotion”.

Ø   Application complete in all respect should reach to the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts “EPCH HOUSE” Pocket 6 & 7, Sector-C, L.S.C., Vasant Kunj, New Delhi-110070 latest by 29th July 2008.
